Teacher who says Santa doesnt exist gets counselling. Ananova Dec 7 2001 7:30PM ET [Offbeat news] And she really needs it. I'm all for honesty with kids and all but kids also need to learn lessons about myths for humor and fun. This teacher probably also wonders why there aren't many invites to parties coming her way.   4:00:14 PM

I'm going to look over PHPNuke to see what it has to offer. I may not have to spend as much time getting a portal working as I thought. First looks are promising, however there are some concerns over the resources this thing requires.   7:20:56 AM

Okay, I'm testing out Radio Userland and I'm finding a lot of things to like about it but it still isn't quite what I'm looking for. If there was some way to combine the Bloggger bookmarklets I'd be much happier. I think I'm going to end up rolling my own system just to get exactly what I want.   7:48:53 PM

Okay, I was viewing my logs for Justin's Journal when I noticed that I'm being hit several times a day by a user agent called "Radio Userland". So I booked over to Userland to see what this thing was. I downloaded the software and this is the smoke test.

There are a number of things I'm going to have to learn about this software before I can comment on it too much. The built in styles are nice and easy on the eye and they appear to be easy to navigate but they just aren't mine. From the looks of things it should be fairly easy to set up "my way".

At the moment I'm not too happy with the way the XML data is formatted. It looks like pure HTML is thrown into the <description/> tag.   5:58:15 PM
